Aimee Brooks is an independent filmmaker, writer, podcaster, media contributor and actor. She has appeared in over a hundred episodes of television and multiple feature films. As a filmmaker, she focuses on creating compelling and boundary-pushing content that both challenge and entertain audiences. Her passion for storytelling has led her to found La Fond films and become the CEO of Toxic Content, a female-owned podcast, film, and digital media production company. Currently, Aimee Brooks is directing documentary projects and has several feature films slated for production. The second season of her podcast Aimee Keeps it Creepy is currently in production.

“I have been deeply inspired by my experiences working with the Ryan family and exploring the many mysteries of Monte Cristo. She hails from Cleveland, Ohio and began her career making music videos and documentaries with her local music and art community. She then moved onto larger projects such as; commercials, short films, TV shows, and full-length documentaries. Her work focuses on documenting stories and shedding a light on details normally overlooked.

“I feel very lucky to have been a part of the Monte Cristo documentary. I was able to experience the beauty of Australia for the first time. Being in a new hemisphere was in interesting adjustment for me. Working on the Monte Cristo Homestead was one of the most interesting work environments I’ve ever had. The property and its owners were very intriguing to me. I learned something new about the home, area, and Australia everyday. I am beyond excited to help tell the story of Monte Cristo and the people who made it what it is.”
